Creating a website is not as easy as you think
I have seen so many websites built with the latest pre-templates that I am sure will cause many business's not to make it on the internet... Building a website is a lot more than a quick, pretty website. You have to make sure the website conforms to the standards.
You have to know that certain coding (Flash and Java) will most likely boot you from the search engines or give you very low ranking.
You have to make sure the keywords in your website are correct for what you are selling or promoting and they must be positioned correctly on the page.
You must use CSS as more engines are bypassing sites that are bogged down with junk coding.
After all that you still have a closed store, as you need to promote your site to even be seen on the web.....SEO optimization, email newsletters, outside advertizing. So if you want to build your own website you better be able to learn a whole new profession.
